The undisputed grand champion of flowering Crabapple trees! Massive double pink flowers are often compared to rose bush blossoms, which makes sense since crabapples are in the rose family of plants. Warning- traffic will stop in front of your home and neighbors will wander over to marvel at the display. Mottled bark becomes twisted and knarled with age to complete the picture and provide winter interest. The fruit however is more akin to regular apples than crabapples. Racquetball-sized fruit is good for jam and pies but can be a mess to clean up.
