Crimson Sunset Maple is a hybridization of 'Crimson King' Norway Maple and the Shantung Maple to give it a more compact growth habit and superior hardiness and luster. Only reaching a height about 1/2 of it's Maple cousins, Crimson Sunset is perfect for smaller yards and slender spaces. The deep purple leaves have enhanced scorch resistance which can sometimes afflict other Norway Maples. Burgundy leaves turn bright red and bronze in the Fall for a finale of color!
